Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book my session?
I recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons like fall or spring. Weekend spots fill up quickly!
What should I wear?
Wear something you feel comfortable and confident in. Neutrals always photograph beautifully, but bold colors can be great too. Try to avoid large logos, neon colors, and busy patterns. For groups, coordinated colors work better than matching exactly. And if you’re unsure or want a second opinion, I’m always happy to help you choose.
How long will it take to get my photos?
A link to your edited gallery will be sent to your email within 30 days of your session.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost. I always keep a few backup dates open just in case. That being said, some of my favorite sessions have been occurred while it was snowing. If you are comfortable with working through unexpected weather, we might be able to use it to our advantage. This is not something I expect from my clients but want them to know that it is another option.
When is payment due?
A non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking to secure your session date. The remaining balance is due no later than 24 hours before your session. Mini sessions require full payment at the time of booking.
